Welcome to Bed & Sheets Downtown
Bed & Sheets Downtown offers travelers an affordable, no-frills stay in the heart of Miami’s vibrant historic district. Situated at 417 NW 6th St, this hostel combines basic comfort with a prime location near Brickell’s bustling shops, cafes, and cultural spots. Guests appreciate its clean rooms and the welcoming attitude of the staff, despite occasional language barriers. The lack of exterior signage makes it a bit of a hidden gem, but once found, visitors tend to value the community vibe and helpfulness of the people who run it.
The space is modest yet functional. Shared bathrooms and limited charging outlets pose some challenges, especially during busy hours, but this is balanced by amenities like free Wi-Fi, on-site parking, and an airport shuttle service. The absence of a pool, restaurant, or fitness center emphasizes a simple, smoke-free environment ideal for short stays and budget-conscious travelers seeking immersion in the local scene rather than resort luxury.
What sets Bed & Sheets Downtown apart is its connection to the surrounding area. Guests enjoy exploring nearby murals in the historic African-American neighborhood around Gibson Park, savoring authentic soul food, and catching performances at the Lyric Theater. The small garden with a hammock and gazebo offers a quiet retreat within the urban setting.
In reflecting on this spot, it feels much like a friendly stopover—a place where practicality meets cultural richness. While it may not cater to those looking for upscale amenities, Bed & Sheets Downtown provides a genuine Miami experience wrapped up in warm hospitality and a lively neighborhood pulse.

A hostel with clean rooms and nice people to enjoy the stay in decent price. Finding the hostel was difficult as no mention outside the property and communication was another bummer as english speaking folks was not there. But, still people try to help to get what you need for to make your stay enjoyable. Only concerning thing was washrooms as they got two washrooms in rooms of 4 with at-most 16 people staying. Even after having a private washroom with a room, folks staying in the room can use it but arrangement to let others also use feels little awkward but its need of an hour in the house.
I was satisfied to stay there. Good price, good location. All the staffs were speaking Spanish, but they were nice. I stayed there one more night than I originally planned.
Overall it's a decently cozy spot, made for limited time stays. Pros: This place was very close to Brickell. Could walk to the grocery, shopping, coffee shops and more. The rooms had decent space and there was a kitchen and a mini garden with a gazebo and hammock. Cons: there was only one bathroom for everyone.... so if you had to go you were outta luck. The dorm had limited charging outlets... not enough for everyone in the room. The indoor lounge space was uncomfortable (wobbly chairs, awkward tables, broken dart board, patio couch put indoors).
